From getting sick in the Amazon jungle to enduring a cold winter’s night alone in Montana; from being buried alive in his snow shelter to nearly suffocating in the backcountry of Pasadena -- Jesse documents his perilous journey to discover himself through the rigors of wilderness survival. His forthcoming memoir, Ember, is the sort of book Christopher McCandless (Into the Wild) might have written had he survived.

Jesse is earning a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and lives on six acres in Montana where he practices permaculture.
